The show

Journey of Sindhis is a live musical show about the Sindhi community — its history, culture, food, rituals, art and literature. Mohit Shewani narrates the story on stage, with singers and a live band performing couplets, verses, hymns and Sindhi songs.

The show moves through five acts: the community's part in the independence movement, Partition and displacement, the years of rebuilding, Sindhi culture and traditions, and a closing set of youth-oriented music. Archive imagery and AI visuals run on screen throughout.

  • Independence and Partition

The opening acts cover the Sindhi contribution to the freedom movement and the displacement that followed in 1947.

  • Rebuilding

How families started again after Partition — the work, the persistence and the identity that came out of it.

  • Culture and traditions

Rituals, cuisine, art and literature brought to the stage with live music and AI visuals.

  • Music for a younger audience

The final act is a live band set that puts Sindhi songs in a contemporary arrangement.
